Ludo is a classic race game with tokens, dice, and captures. Digital versions such as Ludo King adapt those rules for phones. This explainer covers the common rule set. App names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Goal of the game

Players move tokens from a home yard onto the board, around the track, and into a finishing stretch. Usually all tokens must finish to win, though some modes vary—read the mode description in the app.

Dice and entry

A six often lets a token enter the board and may grant an extra roll, depending on house rules of the digital mode. Consecutive sixes can have special limits in some variants.

Captures and safe squares

Landing on an opponent’s token typically sends it back home, unless the square is marked safe (often a star). Team modes change who you can capture.

Fair play

Play for fun with people you trust. Avoid unofficial apps that ask for unnecessary permissions. BlogBaba does not promote real-money gambling versions of board games.
